New Tags for Reviews on EpsteinExposed

Hey @EpsteinExposedAdmin ,

Can we get a medical tag added for document reviews. Could help piece together some connections with different STI treatments and doctor visits.

Absolutely. Done.

Medical tag not yet visible in the Review page.

Also, could we get a “POI” tag? (Person of interest, not necessarily victim nor co-conspirator - could be a witness too).

And could we also get a Travel tag? (e.g. flight and travel coordination-related content)

Could we also get a category to input a location? Say, Palm Beach, USVI, Mexico, etc. Would help to locate files that converge around a specific location. (Reviewers should be advised to only tag a location if it is explicitly mentioned in the document or otherwise clearly deducible, and not just tag every document).

What about a year? Dates would be too cumbersome to input, but year could help and doesn’t take long to click.

Are you using Property/Real Estate tag for these? I’m only using that tag for offers to buy new properties, but I’ve been wondering since I’ve seen a lot of landscaping and construction emails for LSJ

Just wanted to share some some suggestions for tags I have after reviewing emails for a bit that I feel could help with narrowing information down.

  1. Victim Correspondence - I might be dumb and this is what ‘Vicitm Testimony’ is supposed to be, if it is i think correspondence would be more obvious for reviewers. I hear testimony and think court records…like a legal testimony.
  2. Redacted Person of Interest - I’ve come across quite a few emails where there is a persons whose name is Redacted that is clearly not a victim. It would be easier for investigators to organise supsicious emails and uncover potential co-conspirators if they could be found under a common tag.
  3. Possible code - Like 2 it would be easier for investigators following that angle.
  4. Entities and Organisations - Something similiar to the ‘Person Spotted’ to link important entities and orgs.
  5. Locations - Just wanted to second what J4Vic said.

Also this last bit might just be me being either stupid or pedantic but I find a lot of emails that could fit under a certain category but am unsure what do do with it. For example an email with Maxwell and Epstein discussing a legal case the closest tag relevent to the subject matter is ‘Legal Document’ but becuase it’s a message exchange not a legal document like a subpoena I’d think to put in correspondance. Or an email discussing a victim and the name is redacted, does that go as victim named? If you look at it technically the victim isn’t named because its redacted. Or is that tag supposed to be for all interactions about a victim in general. If someone sends an image but the document just gives the file name does that count as media/photos

Obviously I can come here and ask for clarification but with the nature of crowdsourcing you are dealing with a lot of different people who will interpret things differently and not everyone will be bothered to come to a seperate forum to get an answer. They might not even consider their interpretation an issue. It would be helpful if there was more clarification in the tag wording(like hovering over the tag giving more info) or like a ‘how to review for dummies’(I am dummies).

Good suggestions from everyone. Let me address these:

Tags I will add:

  • Medical - Already created by @Hand-Delivered_Hands (if it is not showing yet, it may need a cache refresh. Let me check.)
  • Person of Interest (POI) - For people who are not clearly victims or co-conspirators but are worth noting. Good call @J4Vic.
  • Travel/Transportation - For flight coordination, travel planning, etc.
  • Victim Correspondence - Separate from Victim Testimony, for direct communications involving victims. Good distinction @Ggg.
  • Redacted POI - For documents where a redacted name appears to be significant based on context.

On locations and years:
@J4Vic these are great ideas. Adding a location field and a year field to the review form would be very useful for filtering. I will look into adding dropdown selectors for the major locations (Palm Beach, Little Saint James, Zorro Ranch, NYC, London, Paris) and a year picker. This is a bigger change to the review UI but it is worth doing.

On the Property/Real Estate tag:
@espiceymeatball I would use Property/Real Estate for actual property transactions, purchases, and management. Landscaping and construction emails for an existing property like LSJ are more operational/maintenance. If there is no better tag, using Property is fine, but a “Maintenance/Operations” tag might also be useful. Let me add that too.

Give me a bit to push these changes.

Adding more tags is great, but we shouldn’t get carried away with them. Otherwise, the labeling system will inevitably become too confusing for humans and not very helpful for models.

A suggestion: when a new tag is added, it would be good to be able to go back and re-review the files that were reviewed before the label’s existence. This way, it’s easier to stay consistent and up to date (although, it might be difficult to implement, so, maybe, it should be up to the reviewer, if they want to do so).

Hey first of all great work everyone is doing here"!

I have one suggestions, maybe I didn’t get ir right but I think it would make a lot of sense to to write down mentionend first and last names, nicknames or initials during the review process. That way people could come back to it later and cross reference other files with the same first name for instance and come to a possible conclusion to a person showing up in multiple files if that make sense. right now I only suggest new people if I can infer the full name and person through research. But a lot of the time I see initials and cant put them anywhere.

so I guess im suggesting one data base for actual identified people and one for initials an co that we can come back later to and connect them to actual people.

Also I think it would make sense to be able to add company names, like how you add people or places. They are institutions run by people after all and sometimes a company name implies a persons name. So having a network similiar to the ones for people for companies and the people interacting with it could lead to new investigations.

cheers

New tags are out there! @EpsteinExposedAdmin something for your list. The Hotkeys for the tags are listed, but are not working. They work for the older tags, but not for the new ones (T for Travel/Transport, H for Medical, etc.)! No big deal, but letting you know
