Would love a succinct Newbie Guide here on how to best contribute. I’ve been combing through files and adding documents/people under the “Help Build” links once verifying they aren’t already on here. Is that the correct role for a newbie?
And then if anything is a significant addition to a current topic, the person who manually views it will bring attention to it to those in the trenches?
If I’ve been doing it wrong, I’m so sorry. But I’m asking because I cannot be the only one.
I’ve had similar questions, I think even just doing anything is better than worrying about doing it perfect.
Mostly my reviews have felt like a “something” when I can tag a person found in the text.
Maybe use this thread to capture ideas for such a guide rather than having “onesie-twosie” topics spread all over the forum?
Can you show me where you are doing reviews? I’ve been submitting New Contributions on the bottom of the homepage and not sure that’s how I’m actually supposed to be helping.
Good question @SRS, and no you have not been doing it wrong at all.
Here is how the review system works:
On the main site (epsteinexposed.com):
- Go to any document page and you will see a review panel. You can rate documents as Routine, Significant, or Critical, tag persons mentioned, and add comments.
- The “New Contributions” form at the bottom of the homepage is for submitting tips, new persons of interest, or documents we might be missing. That is a different workflow from reviewing.
What helps the most right now:
- Review documents - Open a document, read it, tag the people mentioned, rate its significance, and leave a comment about what you found.
- Tag persons - When you see a name in a document, search for them in the persons dropdown and tag them. This builds the connection map.
- Flag significant finds - If something stands out (new connections, evidence of wrongdoing, contradictions with official narratives), mark it as Significant or Critical.
@manifest_reverie great idea to centralize guidance here. I will work on a proper “Start Here” guide and pin it. In the meantime, the most valuable thing any of you can do is review documents and tag the people in them. Every tag builds the network.
Idea: explain accuracy % and what ranks mean (Mine has always been 50% - am I doing something wrong?) etc.
Hi I’m new and this site is very confusing for me. I would like to add a new person of interest so I can start linking their connections. Where can I find information on how to post my own research? Please advise.
Thnaks!
Oh sorry I just read the comment above and I think it answered my question.
You should register on a main site and go to Contribute - Help Build the Database | Epstein Exposed then click on Persons
I think I am registered on the main site but it wont link my account to the forum one it just opens my forum account.
Forum and the main site are separated, you should create 2 accounts.
Ok I have two accounts and when I post on there it shows up as anonymous.
I am following the guidelines, I think. I’m adding any incomplete names into the notes in hopes that will help someone searching, like if it is just a first name. I’m adding notes any time my eyebrows twitch.
I do need guidance on which category for some documents.
There are two common documents I’m getting. One is short exchanges where JE and a redacted have short messages. ‘Where are you? Call me” and the like. The other is “property management” stuff. Long and detailed, with who is doing what renovation with which colored curtains.
I am tagging and noting names, but in the short exchanges, there’s nothing of note. In the “property” stuff, nothing of interest.
Suggestions on how to mark these would be much appreciated!
